The summer reading pile!

After a bit of promo time for my own book, I’m back to the summer reading pile. Last book was The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. I always find stories about the Holocaust difficult (because of the content) but engrossing and The Storyteller was very engrossing. I preferred the segments set in the past to the moral dilemma of the present, mainly because it was so hard to leave it and move forward, and I skipped over the additional story written by Minka, the grandmother, which was an allegory for the Nazi occupation. But, leaving this aside, Jodi keeps the story going at a good pace and it’s a book you don’t put down til you’ve finished.
