Hi Sheila,
I am a huge fan of your books, I have them all and have them stored in my mini library for furture re-reading! I love the way you can get the reader really involved in the story and really care for the characters! I would love to be able to write like you, as they say there’s a book in us all so maybe some day I’ll get to write mine too!!!

Best Wishes to you with your writing, keep the books coming, everytime I hear you’ve a new one on the shelves I’m out like a shot to buy it!!

Dear Sheila,

I came across “Suddenly Single” quite by accident earlier this year after a huge family trauma.  My brother died suddenly after a long battle with MS, and his last carer - a girl from Zimbabwe - left the book behind in his room when she moved on.  As it happens, it also coincided with me becoming “suddenly single” after a four-and-a-half year relationship, and I picked it up and started to read as a bit of escape, and because the irony of the title appealed to me.  I simply couldn’t put it down, and it was indeed a lovely escape just when I needed it most.  I felt quite sad to come to the end of it, and this is why I looked to see if you had a website so that I could search for more.  What a joy to find it!

I will certainly be ordering more of your work.  What I really love about your writing is that you seem to understand people’s true nature, and I found myself thinking “Yes, that person really would have done that”.  I loved the subtleties of the relationships between Alix, Wyn and Carrie, and the fact that you gave the reader a bit more of an insight into Alix’s true personality and life than her own mother and sister seemed to have.  The best bit for me was the telephone conversation between Matt Connery and Wyn towards the end.  Fantastic!

I love reading and writing, and often wonder if I could write several books based on the rich tapestry of highs and lows in my own life.  You seem so positive about it on your website you almost make me think I could.....!

I wish you every success in the future.  And thank you so much for giving me an escape and a humour injection when I needed it most!  Heather xx

Hi, Sheila! I love reading your books. I’ve read “Dreaming of a Stranger,” “My Favourite Goodbye,” “Too Good to be True,” and “Suddenly Single.” Well, actually, I didn’t get to finish “Suddenly Single” because the copy that I bought cut the book at the part where Paul was in Alix’s apartment after the Institute Dinner, and instead had the last few chapters of a Jill Mansell novel! I don’t know what happened there. I should’ve checked the pages before I bought it. Hehe.

Anyway, you’re an amazing writer. I love how you write about women and their - our - concerns and issues. I hope I can write and publish a novel that’s as good - or better? - than your novels.

Take care. God bless. Keep writing great novels!

Dear Sheila,
Have been an avid fan of all your books. Am currently reading your latest “How will I know”?
Am enjoying it so much that I don’t want it to end. Always such a thrill to see one of your latest books on the shelves of the bookshop.
Am so looking forward to your next one! I agree with Womans Own that “your books are a must read” and Daily Express “highly readable”. Your books really are number one best sellers.
Thank you so much, sincerely Priscilla.
