If there´s anything you ever wanted to ask me about my books or writing - this is the place. Post your question in the comments section below and I´ll get back to you as soon as I can.
I hope this email finds you well. I must admit that I’ve read almost all of your books and thoroughly enjoyed them. I’ve decided to contact you to see if you can give me any advice. I’m a stay at home mum with two wee ones. Around nine months ago I started to write. I’ve written all about motherhood and my experiences and I feel that I’m getting on reasonably well. There is a good degree of humour in what I’ve written but I’ve no idea really on how to proceed or even if I could in any way succeed. What I do get from it is a lot of enjoyment and it’s even been therapeutic. The main obstacle of course is time. My dad suggested joining the Writers Bureau and doing a home course. I don’t know what this would entail as looking after the wee ones takes up most of my time. I’ve written about 13,500 words but I’ve no idea how much to write. The last couple of months I couldn’t write anything but believe it or not a few more ideas have arisen in the last day or two and I’m back into it again. Can you give me any tips or advice that might help me. I really, really want to proceed with this and I find it so enjoyable. Look forward to hearing from you. Take care and thanks a million, Clare Crawford

i have just starting reading Bad Behaviour, the first book of yours I have ever read, and I have enjoyed it so much I had to write and thank you. The main character, Darcey and I share so many faults and issiues, and I found myself laughing out loud at the way she and I veiw our lifes. In fact at one point I thought you have written about me!!. It was my mum who told me to read you as she said that the main character Darcey was me!.
I am only half way through the book, but what a fantastic read, thank you.

Hi,
You say that Dreaming of a Stranger was the second time you had wrote about these characters, in what other book of your was Jane and her friends included?
Thanks x
FROM SHEILA
Hi Louise
It was the second time I’d written about the characters but the first book published with them. The previous book was about their lives just before the action in Dreaming of a Stranger starts so it was a kind of prequel. But as it was my early attempts at writing a full length book and as I moved on with the characters I didn’t save it and so it doesn’t exist as a novel.
best wishes
Sheila

hi, i’ve just finished reading connections which i really enjoyed. i just wondered if by any chance the hotel you based the book on was the Blue Waters hotel, Antigua? i got married there in 2005 and there are so many similarities, especially as this also had ‘The Rock Villa’, a private hotel owned villa on a rocky outcrop within the hotel grounds. Either way, i enjoyed the style of book but would have loved to have known the outcome of everyones time there. many thanks, jo bronell

Hi Jo
Did you get married in December? If so, I might have seen you because the hotel is indeed based on Blue Waters. If you check out the pix in the gallery under ‘Caribbean Connections’ you’ll recognise the sunbeds, I’m sure!
all the best
