What’s out in 2006

As you all can see from the big banner on the site, Connections will be in the bookshops in February 2006 and I really hope you enjoy it. I loved writing these stories, mainly because they were set in my favourite holiday location in the world - the Caribbean! I just love those white beaches and that warm sea…

After that, the paperback edition of How Will I Know? will be published. It should reach the shops in June. My publishers have changed the size of the paperback for this edition and it’s a slightly larger one (though not as big as the ‘trade’ paperback or hardback vesions) and I think it’s an ideal size for reading. Let me know what you think!

Finally, my next novel - which is called Yours, Faithfully - will be published in the Autumn, either September or October. I’ll let you know when I get the final date myself. I’ll be posting more info and a sample chapter on the site soon.....

Iveagh Market

I’ve always been proud of our family shop in the Iveagh Markets. This clip was taken by my Dad and shows my Mum and a friend called Joe who used to work in the shop. I couldn’t resist getting into the shot - aged 4!

An Irish No. 1

A quick thank you to all of you who’ve already gone out and bought How Will I Know? and especially those of you who’ve posted on the site and emailed me telling me that you’ve enjoyed it. It’s always a relief when a book comes out and readers are happy. I’m really thrilled, too, that so many people who were looking forward to it went out and bought it straight away so that it has debuted at No. 1 in Ireland. Thanks so much!!
Meantime, don’t forget to enter the competition.

To those of you who mailed and to whom I haven’t replied - I will get around to it when I’m back at my desk again.
